SCILLA MARIS CHARMING SUITES:
THE RELAIS IN FRONT OF THE VENDICARI RESERVE, AMONG THE VINEYARDS OF NERO D'AVOLA, QUAGMIRES WITH PINK FLAMINGOS AND MARZAMENI.
Scilla Maris Charming Suites is located in front of the Vendicari natural reserve just outside Noto, in the vineyards of Nero d’Avola, in the marshes and Marzamemi.
The structure consists of an old part and a modern part.
The first one, which includes the reception, the restaurant, 3 suites Lentischio and la suite Palmento, it’s the result of a careful restoration of an old ruin of the Bourbons. The new part includes 6 rooms with private patios and views of the landscaped pool area.
Suites and rooms, elegantly furnished with antiques and design, offer every comfort: attention to detail, quality fabrics and linens, private outdoor area.
Strength of our resort is the restaurant “The Datterino”, which offers a reinterpreted local cuisine. Tradition, excellent raw materials, fruits and vegetables at zero miles, make our restaurant a point of reference in the gourmet options of the whole area.
COVID-19 REGION OF SICILY
Tourists arriving in Sicily will have to subscribe to the app "Sicilia Sicura". This is the provision signed on 6-6-2020 by President Musumeci in view of the summer. The ordinance applies to anyone who arrives on the island and is neither resident nor domiciled and will remain in force until 30 September.
Tourists should therefore:
1. register on the platform and fill in a form.
2. use the linked WebApp (or download it for free on your mobile device, from the platforms AppleStore and Android, the application "siciliasicura") for the purpose of contact with the regional health system and possible monitoring/assistance of their health status.
The Sicilian Region has also established the toll free number 800.458787, to which you can turn for any necessary information assistance.
HOW IS IT TRANSMITTED?
Following the Covid-19 emergency you need to know how the virus is transmitted. Covid-19 is a respiratory virus that spreads mainly through close contact with a sick person. The primary route is the droplets of the breath of infected people, for example by:
• saliva, coughing and sneezing;
• direct personal contact (for example handshake; being with other people in indoor environments with a distance of less than 1 meter with a duration greater than 15 minutes);
• hands, for example by touching with contaminated hands (not yet washed) mouth, nose or eyes;
HOW LONG DOES COVID-19 SURVIVE ON SURFACES?
Preliminary information suggests that the virus may survive from a few hours to eight days, although it is still under study. The use of simple disinfectants can kill the virus by nullifying its ability to infect people, for example alcohol-containing (ethanol) or chlorine-based (bleach) disinfectants. Remember to always disinfect the objects you frequently use (your mobile phone, earphones or a microphone) with a cloth moistened with alcohol or bleach products (taking into account the indications provided by the manufacturer).
WHICH CATEGORIES ARE AT RISK?
Elderly people, pregnant women and those with pre-existing conditions such as high blood pressure, heart problems or diabetes and immunodepressed patients (for congenital or acquired pathology or in treatment with immunosuppressive drugs, transplanted) are more likely to develop serious forms of disease.
HOW WILL SCYLLA MARIS COUNTERACT THE SPREAD OF COVID-19?
Hand washing and disinfection are the key to preventing infection, which is why our facility will provide, at the entrance to each common area, hydroalcoholic solutions for hand washing. Also remember to wash your hands often and carefully with soap and water for about 60 seconds and then dry well. Our rooms and interior spaces will enjoy daily sanitization with ozone-based products, biocompatible sterilizing products. Our staff will be prepared to follow strictly the protocols suggested by the WHO. To counter the spread of the virus, the restaurant Datterino will not serve breakfast buffet. The guests will communicate the time at which they wish to access the restaurant and the products they want that will be brought to the table by the staff. The breakfast room/ restaurant that will be arranged in such a way as to allow the right distances between guests. The access to the rooms are meters away from each other and overlook our gardens or courtyards. Scylla Maris has no shared corridors, so customers are not likely to meet, if not intentionally.
