The Vendicari Nature Reserve: it is a pristine stretch of coast, located right in front of our resort. Finding the entrances to the Reserve is not difficult, given the presence of signs and signs, and once you leave your car you have to move through the paths, meeting wonderful beaches and several ponds, home of many protected species. And if you are lucky you could come across some plant of "Scilla Maris" or Scilla marittima from which we were inspired by the name.

The reserve is known above all as a stopping point for migratory birds, but if you are not interested in stationing yourself with binoculars, an excursion will take you through a fantastic landscape dotted with archaeological remains from various eras; it is possible to visit the ruins of Torre Sveva, the ancient ruins of the Greek city of Eloro and the Antica Tonnara, a real piece of history that, until 1945, saw the bluefin tuna fishermen in activity. Visitors can choose between different itineraries. Do not miss, inside the Reserve, the Calamosche Beach, protected on two sides by two promontories.
